UNIQUE WORLD MAP GENERATION
Redsky: The Boardgame’s land tiles come in three sizes (2-hex, 3-hex, and 4-hex) that dynamically combine to create diverse and immersive world maps. Each land tile represents a unique biome with its own distribution of resources and terrain. Connect land tiles to generate everything from ore-rich mountain chains to fertile grasslands and deserts brimming with gold.
Map creation only uses a fraction of the land tiles included in the game box, ensuring that every world map is a unique adventure filled with surprises and strategic possibilities.
ENGINE BUILDING
In this 4X board game, players assemble their strategic engine by upgrading cities and developing their own unique culture. Align with Redsky’s Elements and navigate the delicate balance between Virtue and Vice to boldly forge your path to victory.
Virtue cards offer game-changing abilities, but require strategic resource management and careful planning to acquire. On the other hand, Vice cards tempt players with free and immediate benefits to accelerate their engine, but count for negative victory points.
Lead your civilization to greatness by weighing the costs and benefits of cultivating Virtues and giving in to Vices. Combine the effects of multiple cards to craft a unique strategy customized to your playstyle and the ever-evolving dynamics of the game board.
SURVIVE THE APOCALYPSE
Each round, players reveal a new event card. While early game events provide new opportunities to boost your civilization, late game events threaten to wipe your civilization out. Before the hour is too late, seize your chance to build a prosperous civilization and shape the course of history.
The final curtain descends in the Redsky Era, where civilizations teeter on the brink of annihilation. To emerge victorious, players must navigate the treacherous Redsky Era, and survival itself becomes the ultimate triumph. The fate of your civilization hangs in the balance. Will you flourish despite the odds, or be consumed by the impending darkness?
