The world of Redsky is filled with a diverse range of civilizations and peoples. Their different cultures and identities are represented by combinations of Redsky’s characteristic archetypes: the six Elements.
The six Elements are Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Aether, and Void.
These are not kinds of magic! Instead they each represent a unique set of values, ideas, and philosophies, with each Element opposed to another.
The whole system is known as Elemental Dualism. Fire (emotional passion) is opposite to Water (emotional control).
Air (intellectual creativity) is opposite to Earth (intellectual diligence).
Void (social individuality) is opposite to Aether (social community).
